Virgin holidays sale

Pretty disappointed by this "sale".

Doesn't exactly do what it says on the tin, and I quote "We’ve taken off everything we can on all holiday destinations, and for all departures from the 26th of December 2010"

Prices have been incrementally rising in recent weeks and the net result is, it's no cheaper.

Oh, and only PE flights available on the dates I'm after.

Back to the drawing board.

I agree, no change at all on the price I looked at a few days ago - so will have to sit and wait me thinks - was hoping to book it soon as really - hubby thinks middle of jan prices may dip?

I don't think this is fair or accurate to call it a con
Remember prices normally increase as an aircraft fills up so prices will gradually rise as seats are sold, this is normal practice.

Could you please price up your Virgin Holiday now and take a screen shot of the results and send them to me, I'd like to check it after the sale ends.

People were saying the same thing when Virgin Holidays had there sale on 1-3 Dec, so I setup quotes for a couple of different holidays and I have been monitoring these each week since.

A Virgin Holiday for a Family of 4 travelling in March staying at the All Stars and staying at the Polly came out as follows.

All Stars
02 Dec (with 10% sale) cost was £3448.20
04 Dec (no sale condition) cost was £3676.84
26 Dec (with 10% sale) cost is £3380.60

Polly
02 Dec (with 10% sale) cost was £6994.20
04 Dec (no sale condition) cost was £7538.04
26 Dec (with 10% sale) cost is £6926.60

As you can see for these particular holidays and I selected these at random the price is cheaper now than it was even in the first 10% sale at the beginning of Dec.

What holiday are you pricing up?
send me details of the holiday you are looking at and I will check it, as I have shown by the screen grabs in my post above the holidays I have tracked are definitely cheaper in the sale!

They seem to have been updating during the day

2 weeks at POR for 2 adults and 2 kids from Man on 1/10/11 to 15/10/11 has come down by over £300 since this morning , from £4277 to £3934

However , the hawthorn suites for the same dates was reduced earlier and has been the same price all day.
