Mobile Advice for parents of autistic son please!

Hi this is our 4th trip too Florida , our son is now 20 years of age, he has Aspergus syndrome, in the past he’s coped reasonably well in queues ,we’ve always gone in September , but with age he’s got more agitated and stressed in crowds, we’ve never looked into any provisions Disney or universal have in place for people
With disabilities but wonder if this time it might be worth us looking into any extra help they can provide , any advice would be appreciated , thank you

Go to guest services, explain the situation and they will issue a pass for your group (up to 6 people I believe). The pass entitles you to approach the cast member at the attraction and be given a return time (which usually mirrors the wait time) and you go back at that time and are admitted via the fast pass entrance. Once used, you can get a return time for another attraction. It’s a bit like an extra fast pass.
Your Son who the pass relates to must be present at time pass requested as well as at the return (obviously).
Can’t remember the current name for it, used to be a DAS pass.
We went for years with our Autustic Son without doing this, but as he got older and we realised the impact queues were having on him, we started getting this and it has been a Godsend the past 4 or 5 visits.

Thank you so much for your reply . Really sounds helpful. Do we need to take any documentation with us and does also apply to universal as well as Disney parks .

no documentation needed. The Cast/Team member are not allowed to read anything related to your health/disabilities

just explain why and how the service would be beneficial to you

universal uses a different system, compared to disney.
getting the pass is the same, but you're given a card.
If an attraction has a standby time of 30 minutes or less you may be granted immediate access through the express line. If posted wait time is over 30 minutes, they write down a return time on your card

both at disney's and universal you can only have one and only one disability return at any one time.
