Wonder if something is afoot?

So, I’ve been checking regularly the cost of our 11 nights booked with Disney direct for availability for our new dates as we need to move them from July to August.

Anyhow, they have just upped the price (Only £55 per room but still) which I know they don’t usually do once they’ve set them, unless something is about to change?

I’m hoping it might be a pre offer price? Maybe DDP? 😂🤞🏼

I realise it’s probably wishful thinking, but with the recent news in the US about vaccines coming, maybe they are getting ready for something to change?

Fingers crossed! 🤞🏼

Getting Excited

yeah, prices seem to have upped £5 per night. More than likely trying to recoup everything they can. £5 per hotel room per night adds up quite quickly with the amount of rooms they have on offer.

I would think that instead of enticing people with offers for next year they will just make the ones that want to go pay more. If people are still booking and paying they will se it as there is room for further increases.

Yes I did also think that. But was thinking (hoping) that with them having many of the hotels shut and many not travelling they might be upping the price a little to not miss out if they put an offer out? Iukwim.

Like I said it’s probably wishful thinking but you never know what’s going to happen. I bet they want to get moving ASAP though.

They've increased the price of the same package we booked back in July by an additional £1000 for next September. Thats just for 2 people. They've only done that in the last week or two as I've been regularly chekcing the price also.

I'm a bit gutted though as it looks like the room we originally chose before upgrading isn't available, meaning we probably would have been upgraded to the tower for free at Coronado Springs Resort.

That sounds like it would cover the dinning plan without actually loosing out.

I think there are going to be many people (from all around the world) priced out for the time being if they up the prices too much, let’s hope it’s worth it for those of us who still want to go. 😁

Sounds like you could be right! They could also be increasing the prices in advance of October 2021 onwards opening up too. Who knows.

We were due to fly in 3 weeks, staying at Universal with Virgin but obviously that all got cancelled. However, we made the switch to a Disney stay for the first time for next year so that it's a bit more special.

Hmmm something has changed. I’ve been checking dates almost daily for sept next year and the prices have rocketed today and pop century seems to have gone too. I’ve even looked at a few dates in Aug and same thing. Darn have I missed the boat!?!

Edit - so weird... pop has just come back but yep price increased by about £150! Maybe a glitch whilst upping the prices lol

For those of us who were fortunate to be able to book for after September 26th next year and had dining plans taken away, do you think they will offer at original price or bumped up prices? Wondering what the price difference will be if its going to be more expensive?
