The Hot Mikado, Livingston

Warning - this is absolutely nothing to do with Disney...

However, I was asked to hel pout with a local amateur musical group. They were doing "The Hot Mikado" but the fellow playing "Pish Tush" was forced to rop out because of work commitments.

I took his place.

They were shot RAW on a Canon 350D and 24-105mm L lens. They were then processed in Lightroom and Photoshop (with Noise Ninja).

Great shots in difficult lighting conditions! Im deducing you didnt take them if you are in the picture (or do you have an infra red shutter release concealed in that lovely suit of yours ) - were they taken by a pro, they are very good?

Thank you very much, everyone!

I am rather enjoying the show, for a variety of reasons. I've not been singing as much as I used to, and my voice is rather rusty. This show is my second in a couple of months, and my voice is in much better nick than the last one. So I'm able to let go a little, and I'm enjoying that.

It also gives me a great excuse for a glass of port in the evening

I'm wearing the orance suit in the middle of picture number 2. It was of course a friend who took the pictures, I then processed them using Lightroom, Noise Ninja and Photoshop Elements.

After this, no shows planned. In fact it gets complicated, as DD8 wants to join the local children's amateur musical society. But if she's rehearsing two evenings per week, there's no way I'll be able to do the same at the same time!
