That's the way I like to do trip reports. It never takes me long to type them up when it's all fresh in my mind. It takes Bill a lot longer to fit the photos in than it does for me to write anything. I just can't read enough about California

WOW! This sounds like an amazing trip! You will love SF, i was there last year. Theres loads of lovely eating places at the Wharf, you will be spoiled for choice. We had dinner in Bubba Gumps at Pier 39, also try The Cheesecake Factory, its on the top floor of Macys in Union Square. Theres an outside patio, it was a bit chilly at night though so we stayed indoors.

It's a toss up between SF and LV of which we're looking forward to the most.
I think that checking out the eating places at the Wharf is probably our best bet then, we've never been to Cheesecake Factory or Bubba Gumps in all our visits to Florida, we did mean to try BG's on our last trip but didn't make it. I know that Cheesecake Factory is very popular, but we've never been because Iain doesn't like cheesecake and I like it but find it too sickly when I've had a big meal! I think it's likely that we'll go for a meal there in SF though, there's always so many other places that we love to tempt us in Florida!

Sounds great plans we are flying back to the UK just when you are about to fly out. We are doing 4 days in Yosemite stopping at the bottom of El Capitan in a cabin. Aparently theve had the worst snow for 20 years so hopefully the waterfalls may have a little left in them when we get there. Hope you have a fab time

When we have visited Knott's we have always had a great meal at Mrs Knott's chicken diner, which is just outside the gates.

I hope they don't have early snow in October this year then! That's why we're doing Yosemite first, just incase! Would be great if there's some water left, but I'm not banking on it for us...you may hopefully get some going that little bit earlier.

Great tip-have the big meal then get the dessert to take away, by the time you get back to your hotel you wont be as full. Me & DH usually share a slice cos theyre so big. Theres a lot of desserts that arent cheesecake there too.
Youve got me in the mood for Las Vegas, i was there 6 years ago and now im thinking of going back next year! |
