Dubai - First visit

I’m looking at a first visit to Dubai for our anniversary in September ..

Is this a good time to visit?
Can anyone recommend a hotel?
Any other help would be fab!

Thank you! x

I’ve been twice, stayed at Atlantis the Palm and Grand Hyatt at the creek. Loved them both. April and Oct weather was great, Sept will be a bit warmer. I wrote mini trippies, see below. So much to do/see in Dubai if you want to or just chill out if you don’t.

Yes it’s a fabulous hotel, the pools are lovely and you’ve got free access to the water park and aquarium. I did feel like I preferred the creek location to the palm for getting out and about but taxis are cheap so it’s still easy enough from the palm. It is busy and lots of people come for a look so it’s marmite - some people think it’s too busy and like staying in a theme park, but we loved it.

If you can afford it, The Burj is absolutely amazing, plus you are treated like royalty …. serenity personified. Also we love the Al Qasr, the pool is amazing plus upgrade on your room you have the most amazing Breakfast then, cream tea, then Champagne and in he evening with Hors d'oeuvres that are truly wonderful.

But for us, the crème de la crème is the Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa, its is beyond amazing.
Personally I would avoid the Atlantis... awful hotel, unless you have children.
