One more question... I promise ... I’ve just read conflicting info about child credits ! One part said counter service credits are not differentiated in the system between adult and children , therefore you can order adult meal for a child ... whereas somewhere else has said that kids quick service selections can be limited and to get around that some places don’t have a kids menu and so you can order an adult entree with a child credit !
But I thought that the system didn’t recognise between adults and child credits !
Arggggg ... think I might be looking into this too deeply !
The first part is right. There is no difference between adult and child QS credits so you can order what you like from the menu - it doesn't have to be a child's meal. The only exception we found to that was at Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs on our first trip, where our son, who was 9 at the time, had to have a children's meal. They're a third party run restaurant though, so can impose their own restrictions. Fortunately, the children's bjenu was okay there, so he could still have what he wanted, just a smaller portion.

You might find it helpful to read some food reports too. I wrote a QS one during our last trip that shows how we used our credits, along with photos of everything we ate. The link is in blue at the bottom of my signature

You get a drink and an entrée with every counter service meal.

Just as a lil tip - you can get free iced water from various counters in the parks so you don't need to use snack credits on bottled drinks (unless you fancy it!) if you don't want to

Does 1 qs credit for a meal also include a drink ? I’ve read that savvy dibbers don’t use snack credits for drinks but wondered how you get drinks if they don’t come with the 1 x qs credit ?
I understand that you can fill your mugs for free in the hotels, but not in the parks ! Please is someone able to help me get my head around this ! Sorry if I’m posting daft question
Most of my snack credits go on drinks. Loads of Dibbers don't and end up having loads of snack credits left which they spend on chocolate just to use them up - I don't call that savvy. Personally I prefer to use them on cold drinks when I'm feeling hot and thirsty (mainly Minute Maid Lemonade) which I appreciate and enjoy than a load of chocolate just to use them up. Just think of the weight in the suitcases going home.

I will use my snack credits on drinks a lot! I don’t see the point in buying snacks I’m not going to eat or give away when what I really need is water! I took the “don’t use snack credits on drinks” advice in 2017 and ended up buying 11 bags of sweets for my Brownie Pack as I had soooooo many left but I had also spent a small fortune on drinks,
