The Harrods website has some lovely Harrods “souvenirs”, all price ranges. They’d make a fab gift.

I have the same dilemma, my son is off to Australia on a rugby tour, I have so far been on Cath Kidston and bought a few bits they have a lot of their London range in the sale, I am not going to send him with any food or anything breakable in cash it gets trashed or confiscated. I am sure it will end up being a bit naff, but what you do you buy people you dont know :-)

I live the in France! Shortbread is readily available in the biscuit aisle (including Walkers!)

Something from M&S Food in a tin would be a good idea - though of there is another option than shortbread then take it! A local fridge magnet is always a nice idea plus if there are any local delicacies (where I am from we have a particular thing so we always go with that ) Oh and some good cheddar - we can only get the rubbery type more often than not
