Silver wedding short break - UK

Can anyone recommend somewhere a little special for a 2 night break please. We are in Cheshire and looking at a max drive of around 2 hours. Would like somewhere nice with a good restaurant on site or walkable if poss (so we can both have a drink) .
Our anniversary is at the beginning of May.
Thanks x

The Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire may fit the bill.

Have a look at Ashmount hotel in Haworth. Their hot tub rooms are amazing, private hot tub in a private courtyard, lovely rooms, lovely restaurant and walkable into Haworth.

I've been looking at Edgar House in Chester and the tasting menu. Looks fab.

Also we got train to Edinburgh for ours a few years ago. Was lovely and only couple of hours from Crewe.

I would also recommend Ashmount Hotel. We stayed there last year. It’s a lovely hotel with lots of options for eating within walking distance. We also went on the steam train when we were there.
