Our Hermes guy at our old house was fab. He had 4 kids and his wife worked a long hours office job so he did the couriering so he could do the school runs for the kids.

He'd always keep my parcels if I wasn't in and bring them back on his way home from picking his kids up.

We've moved. The lady here is rude. We live on a new build estate next to the station (600 houses built for commuters into London) We are half of her round. She drives a tiny little car and moans in our community facebook group that we are not in when she delivers. She left £150 of lego on my front doo step , and put our halloween pumpkin on top.
Were lucky it wasn't stolen.

When I was on nightshift, the car was on the drive and I was asleep upstairs during the day. She hammered on the door like no ones business, and then shouted I know your in, your car is here. She's lucky I didn't want to go down two flights of stairs because she really would have got a piece of my mind.

Oh no! I hope you manage to get it sorted!

My husband is military so we have lived in a few different places and have always had fab service with our deliveries. Germany was a bit difficult with the language barrier but very efficient. We move again soon (should have known already where by know but coronavirus has delayed it).. Fingers crossed we don't end up with a bad one next time.

A lot of delivery people are great but once you have a problem that is when you will learn how bad the company are. try getting in touch on the phone or via email. I have been trying for a week now.
But for anyone receiving a parcel do not query it with hermes , your contract is with the supplier, they chose to use hermes. Contact the supplier and advise them the parcel has not been delivered and that hermes say they have , advise the supplier you want another one sent or a refund. It is their responsibility.

My husband sent some PPE to my sister who is a nurse 2 weeks ago on a 24 hour Hermes delivery. Still no sign of it and no reply to emails or telephone calls. No idea what to do now.

I must admit I hate Hermes..

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had the email ‘delivery was attempted’ the building is staffed 24/7 and there always has to be someone on the front desk. How can delivery be attempted? I can’t be doing with the constant lies instead of just telling me it was delayed.

We seem to be lucky with our Hermes delivery person and have never had a problem yet. However, I read a lot of negativity about Hermes. Never about other courier services. It’s a wonder that companies still use them.

I love Hermes but there again my Mate does the deliveries. Always on time and always looks after his 'area' well.

I think it's very much a geographic issue. Some are good some are bad like most things in life.

The lady who delivers for Hermes round here is a treasure. She’s been doing it for about four years and knows everybody and their delivery preferences. Never had a problem - good luck OP.

Just to echo others really, at home my Hermes lady is great, knows I don’t get home from work until after 8 mainly so pops around after then.

At work 4 miles away we are almost at the point of not accepting deliveries by them, my heart sinks when I get a tracking number from they, you just know it’s going missing, getting damaged or will take a month to arrive
