Scotland - touring caravan sites

As Florida is a no go this season we are hoping to get away in our tourer to Northumberland and Scotland.

Any recommendations for areas/ sites in Scotland? We prefer sites with a nice view, not too far away from a town, don't need entertainment as we have no kids with us.

Thank you

There are a couple of nice caravan sites on Isle of Arran and the island itself is lovely - plenty to see and do, and fab food.

New England Bay near Port Logan/Stranraer in south west Scotland. Caravan club site right on the sea. Lovely area. Worth the drive

I’m maybe biased but Forfar in Angus. The caravan site is right at the Loch which is beautiful. You’re a short drive away from the Glens, Dundee, Aberdeen, St Andrews.

There are a few sites near St Andrews that we always went to when I was a kid, this was a fave craigtounmeadows/home but I think there are others with a view of the sea around there.

We used to do long weekends around Pitlochry (Faskally is a popular site) and Callander as well.

West coast is lovely , definitely recommend

Arran, Beautiful island , that’s where my dad is from but the problem just now is the reduced capacity on the ferry even If the government let Them take more passengers, that’d one of the reasons we have cancelled our holiday as there is no way we will know if we would get across or back

Yes, we cancelled ours in March. We have a booking at Auchrannie for September - hoping Calmac loosen things up by then. We won't have seen DS and family for 9 months by then so we really want to go. They've actually had a lovely lockdown (unless you're a tourist business owner) as the island has been so quiet .
