What I've learnt from this thread is that Dibbers are really good drivers, and I'm the exception to that to prove the rule

Son put dad on his insurance to reduce his premium. He didn’t put me on it... there’s a reason for that ☺️

Does anyone have any experience of Tesco bank Box insurance? They seem to be coming in quite a bit cheaper on a comparison site for my DS. Thanks

Fitted for free, think you have 2 weeks to get it fitted from taking out the insurance
She hasn’t been penalised for late driving home when she was working.
She was with Hastings last year and they where fine but penalised her whenever she drove to Sheffield over the Snake Pass
She hasn’t dropped from Smiley face with Tesco and gets over 90 miles out of hundred extra miles every month

It's a 1st for us too, the lads at 18 managed to get good deals without a box but DD at 22 is finding boxes pretty much standard at the cheaper end.

She found a really good deal with Hastings but reading the small print they charge £150 to fit and £90 to remove which makes the overall cost uncompetitive

Seems from dubletrub's posts Tesco don't charge, which was what I thought was the norm, just shows you need to read all the t&cs.

Both boys still have Black Box insurances with Admiral - very impressed with their service and extremely competitive prices.

Even though they are both at Uni and their cars sit on the drive whilst they are away, they both have their own insurance policies to help them get on the No Claims policies and cheaper insurances when they want to upgrade their little run around cars.

DD was with Hastings last year and didn't pay for the box fitting and they didn't remove it, we presumed the fitter who fitted for Tesco removed the Hastings one 🤷
