What sounds do you commonly hear from your outside your home even with the windows closed

When Concorde was in commission, on a quiet day you could hear the engines for take off. I miss that! It's noisy and busy here, but, I like it and am so used to it. Yes sometimes when it’s really noisy and I’m trying to get to sleep I remember that people pay good money to listen to the calming sounds of the sea lol!

We are sleeping in a different room which has a flat roof at the moment and I can now add some kind of wildlife in Wellington Boots to sounds I can hear!

The pigeons on the shallow slanty roof above my head appear to do a rendition of cabaret every morning. Dancing and singing - all whilst wearing wellies or tap shoes.

It's amazing how much the sounds are amplified. I can't wait for winter and the dawn performance to be a bit later in the day 😁

Pheasants! We live on the outskirts of a village and the local estate rears pheasants but several of them wander about our garden making that great cawing noise (quite sure that’s not the proper name for it!)

church bells, occasoinally trains on the ECML (depends in wind direction) & from monday the welcome sound of kids* in the primary playground out the back

there have always been some during lockdown but school is full again now
