what would you go for?

Hello, looking at car bookings with DFCH, they have standard SUV for £363 for the fortnight with Alamo who I have used a few times before and like. The alternative I am tempted by is a full size 7 seater SUV with Hertz. Don't need the seats just kinda tempted to try the bigger SUVs. Never rented with Hertz from MCO so don't know what people experience is. I have seen in the past most people have had positive experiences but just curious as to what most people preference is, I am guessing Alamo?

You don't get to select your own car with Hertz.

Personally I would rather drive a normal size SUV if space was not required some of the bigger SUVs are like Supertankers !

If your a good driver take the big one nothing quite like the hum of a v8 . We love the comfort of big seats and lots of room and also in the monsoon rain very handy when so high up . But the v6 twin turbo ford expedition is the one I'd choose now .

Another vote for the Expedition. We had one for the last fortnight and couldn't fault it. Accelerates like a scalded cat when it needs to. One thing to note, we averaged 22 mpg over 1800 miles of mixed motoring.

I believe Hertz’s toll ‘admin’ charges can work out a lot more than Alamo’s, so I have applied for a Visitor Toll Pass for our trip. This may not effect you depending on where you are heading, but might be important.

Personally having a larger SUV would be my treat as driver

dang, that scheme does look good but going in Jan so can't use it.

Decided to go with the standard SUV instead of the full price as Andy price matched a sale price I got in another thread. I know we all think they are great but you can't say it enough that Discount Florida Car Hire is fantastic and would recommend them to anyone.

The Visitor Toll Pass is going until end July 2020, so if you are going Jan 2020 you are fine to sign up providing you are collecting car from MCO.
