Christmas hotel advice - LBV or Kissimmee?

So after a horrible few weeks we took the plunge and booked to go to Orlando for xmas and new year, got a very good deal with indirect flights using some FC miles but now the stress of finding a place to stay begins! we usually stay onsite but as we would need 2 rooms or a one bed villa (2 separate sleeping areas basically) this is prohibitively expensive. We are now looking at suites in either Kissimmee or LBV area, does anyone have any advice or recommendations that will not break the bank?

TIA

Not sure on cost but we have stayed at Hilton Tuscany Village over Christmas in the past and it was great. Other options around LBV are Sheraton Vistana and Grand Beach Resort

Thanks, we are ideally looking for somewhere with quick and easy driving access to wdw, as we don't normally drive we have no idea on the commute times but would not want to spend longer than 20-30 minutes driving to the parks. How long were the travel times from TV?

Over Christmas we have stayed at Windsor Hills quite a few times, from there or any of the other communities in that area you can get to WDW via the Sherbeth Road entrance and we have never found this to be that bad.
On Christmas Day last year we decided to try Animal Kingdom (this is the nearest park to WH) and didn't go until after 10, but got parked and into AK without any problems.
Good luck with your search.

We’ve not been for a couple of years but the time taken to travel down Hotel Plaza Blvd (the Crossroads entrance) was sometimes 20-30 mins ! Less than a mile.

Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa is in a great location and very reasonable too.

This is exactly the hassle I was hoping to avoid! maybe a spot on the 192 would be quieter? am liking the Windsor Hills idea or maybe Kissimmee by the Old Town as there are quite a few suite hotels there.
