Thank you Barclaycard!

Just had a call from Barclaycard asking about suspect transactions on our card and there's at least 3 dodgy transactions of which they blocked 2 of them, from jewellery and watch shops in the US for almost £500 but one for £19.99 for a makeup shop in the UK had got thru'. Tthey have now cancelled my card so I have to wait for a new one to arrive. Thieving gits, glad they got declined.

Well done Barclaycard and what a relief for you that they were so on the ball.

That happened to me 2 days before Christmas an attempted purchase was made with my barclaycard online at John Lewis for £1200. I cant figure out at all how my details would have got stolen but just glad money didnt actually get taken.

Well done barclaycard for stopping your two obvious dodgy ones but letting your real UK one through.

xx

I had two before Christmas on my card, never had it happen before... one was on 29 November for 206.93 for john lewis.com the other 7 days later on 6 Dec for 206.94 again for john lewis.com... halifax credited it back to me and i assume doing their fraud investigation... would love to know how it happened tho i don't even shop there and don't have an online account with them. all very scary

I had a very similar experience with my Barclaycard a couple of months ago. Barclaycard were brilliant, they blocked my card immediately and sent me a new card and number out within a few days. I was very impressed with them.

It's very scary though as it's obviously very easy for these people to get hold of the card details

I had the same just before Christmas but with my current account with HSBC, there we're 4 charges of £400 to a fake computer shop online in russia! The 4th got declined and they said thats how they found out, apparently it happend to over 100 people at the same time!
Luckily the bank refunded all charges. Its awful isnt it.
