If not Discovery Cove, what instead? Help please.
We as a family had our once only trip in 2012 and spared no expense. Following a truly awful 2013 we have decided to return as we all need a fun filled holiday. My dilemma is this... we were considering doing Discovery Cove again but I'm not sure it's the best use of our time and money. (We are going for less time and with less money this time round).
So what I'm looking for are suggestions of what else we could do instead, something maybe out of the ordinary. (We have done all disney, universal, Busch gardens, Kennedy space centre). Happy to travel and stay over night if needs be. Over to you guys, I know you'll help me out.

Probably should have provided more information lol.
Yes we have a car, there are 4 of us, me, DH, DS 14 & DD 10.

We've got a couple of one night breaks booked. One is to stay at Clearwater, visit Pier 60, go on Sea screamer and if time allows visit Winter the Dolphin.
The second is a night at Westgate River Ranch, on Saturday evenings they have a Rodeo and they also have Airboat rides

Have you considered a night in Clearwater, and doing a boat tour to see the dolphins? You cold do this in a day or stay overnight...

We are doing a day at clearwater this time as three previous trips we never made it to the coast. We plan a few hours on the beach and a dolphin spotting boat ride on little toot!

Was going to suggest clearwater as well. We did a day trip and went on the pirate cruise.
Was a great day out which we all enjoyed. |

Go to a state park and tube or kayak in the springs, usually really cheap to get in and pack a picnic. Or drive to the coast and spend some time on the beach. Airboat rides are fab if you haven't been, or visit the giraffe ranch and hand feed giraffe, rhino etc.

I'd love to drive to the Keys but might need more then one night to do that.
How about a night at Vero Beach ? (might be expensive though)
