It's probably best you phone the management company and ask for someone to come over and investigate.

I commented on your other thread you need to check the fan is turning on the pool heater. If it isn't the heater isn't on 92 would mean it should be warm.

Thanks all it looks like the heater isn't working because the air temp is not high enough. It is showing as that anyway. Also heater isn't set to be on all the time just intermittently !

It will be set at 92 but pool heaters are not on all the time they run in tandem with the pool pump. If the pump is set 8am - 8pm the heater will operate in these hours. If the ambient air temp drops too low the heater will not operate. If there is a pool blanket use it. we switched to the new liquid pool blanket which eliminates the need to put on and remove.

The pool heater fan should be running if its turned on although this will only be happening if the pool pump is running as well. If the pump is not running heaters tend not to work. The pumps usually run for 8 to 10 hours per day to filter the water. I would say that its not on and as in your other thread you we swapped into that house it would be unlikely that they have switched it on. The other thing is it will take sometime to heat the water in the pool we usually arrange for the heater to be turned on a couple of days before the guest arrives so the pool has had time to heat up.
As Alison has said the ambient air temperature can have an effect on the water temperature pool heaters tend not to work efficiently in the cold temps. Use a pool blanket on the pool when you get it right this will increase your swimming time in it, we to use the liquid pool blanket but still have a proper pool blanket on stand by Mark |
