October weather on the Gulf Coast

Considering altering our flights to fly into Tampa and spend a few days by the coast, would be mid October, how is the weather in or around Clearwater/St Pete's this time of year? Sea still ok to swim in?

Water temp likely to be around the high 70s/low 80s

We are over at Rotonda West every year in Sept & Oct. we are about 1 hour south of St Petes but the weather should be much the same.

The weather is perfect in Oct, warm without the searing heat of the summer. Usually the humidity has gone too.

Our neighbours cant wait to get the aircon off so that they can open up the sliders and let the fresh air in.

You should be able to swim even in Nov.

The coast is all about relaxation ... enjoy 😎

We swam on the sea at st Petes beach end of October last year and it was lovely and warm. There were no complaints from our DD almost 4 so plenty warm enough.
