Great British Sewing Bee...

I've been sewing for years, I made an apron and a tea cosy when I was 11, then made the unsexiest nightie when I was 12. Both at school.
Hated sewing and didn't do anymore till I was about 16, then got into it a bit more. I've since done 2 wedding dresses and about 20 bridesmaids. Then as my daughter started competitive skating I did costumes for that.
I go to a sewing group every week until lock down and we do more talking than sewing!
I love watching sewing bee but no way would I want to go on it.
The books are very good value as they contain patterns as well as detailed instructions. Patterns are very expensive now to buy.

The only issue is that it is at 9pm. I'm getting woken up at 5am at the moment so will be in bed by then. Will have to watch it on catch up :-(

Really looking forward to this tonight. I haven't sewn anything since I left school (quite some time ago ) and this always gives me the urge to drag out the now antique sewing machine and have another go!

Managed to watch it this morning, so nice to have some normality.

I think that the standard of sewing has generally improved again, so it will be interesting to see what happens as the series progresses.
