DLP annual pass: good room prices in August?
After some advice from Dibbers please!
I’m thinking about getting DLP annual passes but having just had a conversation with central booking line am non the wiser so hoping the DIBB can help. Planning a weekend (10-12 aug) staying at sequoia lodge. The best price seems to be the 35% off offer. I’m likely to go back to DLP later in the year for another weekend so thought an annual pass might be cheaper, however the room only rate seems pretty high for August so not sure it’s worth it. I know I could get reduced rate room with annual pass but booking line won’t tell me what the rate would be. Those of you with annual passes what type of discount is normally offered in sequoia lodge with annual tickets? Many thanks! |

Depends which pass you get! There are only so many rooms with ap discount available.
How many of you are going?

Would be looking at getting a flex or plus pass. We’re going as a group but the others have already booked using the half board and 25% offer. So just one room for me and my son but he’s under three so no cost for him!

Have you looked at hotels.com or travel republic as they sell room only.

The Magic Plus gives up to 40% Discount, sometimes it's cheaper to book a package deal. Could you share a room with the others? You can add yourself at check in and just pay the local tax, you wouldn't get the meal plan the others get though.

The room only rates from Expedia etc would suggest that the French site 35% off is probably a good deal as is still quite a bit cheaper. I imagine that in August i am unlikely to get 40% off the room rate with the AP. Their room my friends have booked has already got four of them (I am a late gatecrasher to their plans!), plus I’ll have a nine month old with me and as much as everyone loves spending time with him in the day not sure they would be so keen on him ‘entertaining’ them in the middle of the night!
Such a shame you can’t upgrade park tickets that are brought as part of a package to APs. |

as you are a party of one paying guest, if you think you'll visit at least twice in a year, you might want to consider buying an annual pass for park access only, and staying offsite but nearby - there are loads of options which are nowhere near as expensive as the Disney "bubble" onsite.
