What a great (if long) travel day.

You can’t beat that feeling of warm weather, sand between your toes, exhaustion from travelling and just knowing you’ve got your whole holiday ahead of you.

Will be avidly following along

We had breakfast in that diner when we stayed at the Loews Miami at end of our 2015? Trip. I researched options, so you did well to just ‘sniff it out’. Dibber’s nose?

Weather can be so scary driving.

Reading along.

I think it was Dibber's nose - you know when you see somewhere and it just looks different, interesting and intriguing all in one look, this place was it - have to admit it took us a while to end up there and still feel we were totally past it by the time we ate. On the list to go back again if we ever return to Miami.

Hope you enjoy reading along for the whole trip

Love how the kids went swimming in the sea after such a long travel day. I guess it’s that buzz and energy you get knowing that this is the start of an adventure for the next 4 weeks. Love that feeling!

It was a real treat to get to the beach, shame we left it too late for food , we were past it by the time we ate. Thanks for reading

It's a good job you likes the greatest showman, it would have been a pain of you didn't! You'd have had to change the name of the trip report.

Wow I didn't know Lufthansa had cameras showing those views! Not sure I could have watched during landing though.

Poor Alison a recliner during a day flight is a real pain. It sounds like the flight attendants did their best though.

Nice to be able to hot the beach when you got to your hotel. And what a great Americana diner, it helped you to feel like you'd truly arrived!

Had not even thought about what would have happened if I didn't like the film.

The Lufthansa A380 cameras were strangely compulsive viewing
Great flight and can't fault the staff onboard, it was indeed a treat to get to the beach for a while on arrival - it started us like we hoped the holiday would go on

Wow that was a long day, and I bet that was a tense drive, but you can’t beat the excitement of a travel day.

I’m not sure I like the idea of all of those cameras on the plane, I prefer not to know where we actually are haha.

Funnily enough The Greatest Showman was the film I planned to watch on the plane but I couldn’t squeeze it onto my Kindle.

A bit of a nightmare with the wait for the luggage after such a long flight but, as you say, at least it was there!

The diner looks very cute, I’d definitely have chosen to eat there too.

Good travel day apart from the recliner in front of your wife.

Awww thank you - appreciate your post so much.
If that is how it sounds when reading back then I am so pleased as I mean every word of what I type and more than anything else just want the boys to recognise what we achieved as a family, when I was their age WDW was possibly the last place on earth I would expect to visit
Hope you enjoy all of what is to follow

I was going to as if you would recommend the Blue Moon in Miami, but I've just looked up the price for our 5 day stay in April, so I won't bother asking :-(
