I make a five bean chilli basic chilli base and add a couple of tins of mixed beans or soak and cook beans as instructed or again a time of mixed beans added to an avocado salad dressed with olive oil lemon juice and some chilli fresh or flakes goes very well with plain grilled fish or chicken you can use mango instead of avocado

I make a chickpea curry, which my son loves.

I don’t follow a recipe, but I just fry onions and mushrooms with some garam masala and curry powder. Add tinned tomatoes and then a drained tin of chickpeas. Yum!

what about roasted chickpeas? just dump a tin onto a baking tray, and dust with paprika/cayenne/curry powder/whatever your favourite spice is and cook for a while in the oven
