I am tempted with the cruuse/stay but wondering if 3 days in Florida would be to short. Think I will price up just a Caribbean cruise and see the price difference. Who did you book your cruise with?

When we did a transatlantic cruise and wanted to stay a bit longer in Florida it was easy for the company we booked the cruise through to move the return flight back a couple of weeks.

We love cruising but never fancied transatlantic too much so I agree it may not be a good first cruise. Next year we are going on the symphony of the seas for a week with a week in Orlando first and have booked the cruise and will book the rest independently, it might be worth a look.

Thank you, thats another good option for my list of ideas. The choice is endless and it takes me ages to make up my mind then stick with it.

Done this 3 years ago but opp way ie flew over ship back.

We had 4 nights in cabana bay, flights transfers and drink package for around 1400pp so £5k a bit dearer particularly if it’s a shared cabin

Honest opinion we did the last two years Indy to Europe from Southampton and by the time she got to Gibraltar two days later i couldn’t wait to get off ...

I simply couldn’t manage a six day cruise without a port.

I suppose it depends on age but RC aren’t great at entertainment during the day. The only entertainment is old quizzes in bars which is ok if you like daytime drinking otherwise there isn’t much to do.

I’m going on two RC cruises next year I like the company but it’s heavily drink based.

Indy does have the rock climbing wall, flow rider, ice skating rink, laser tag, VR trampoline, and water slides (a lot of that being fitted in her recent refurb) so she's actually great for warm weather sea days! But maybe not so much for inside activities on cool days. Assume if you're looking at a TA to the US it'll be around the end of October?

We did a cruise with 5 sea days in a row once and didn't hate it- it wasn't supposed to be so many but we had cancelled ports! We did a mix of chilling with a book and activities such as dance classes... and lots of eating lol! But I know some cruisers who absolutley hate sea days, so I think you need to find out if you're one of them before you book a TA!

Plus those kind of activities are rammed on sea days, we did a cruise on the anthem a couple of years ago and the queues for all the fun activities were horrendous and we never did get to go on the North Star.
