Unexploded WW2 bomb Eurostar cancellations 17.02.19
I'm looking for reassurance from people who know the Eurostar service into DLP much better than I do.
I've discovered this morning that there is going to be major disruption to the Eurostar service into Paris this weekend. An unexploded WW2 bomb has been discovered near the Gare du Nord. So, tomorrow the French authorities will be deactivating the bomb. They will be evacuating some residential areas and according to the website there will be major disruption to the trains as well. From what I can tell our train will be running and should not be affected. But I have very little experience so I am looking for some reassurances. We are on the 9128 train leaving Ebbsfleet at 11.15 tomorrow, we change at Lilia and get on the 9830 train for DLP leaving at 14.03. Eurostar have cancelled some services into and out of Paris and changed the times of some trains. But the affected trains seem to be those starting with a 90** number. They are advising customers travelling this weekend to change their plans due to the high volume of customers and limited availability. However as we're not actually going into Paris I'm hoping we are ok. I'm sure some of you will know the train routes much better than I do so I'm hoping you can reassure me. Do you think we should get to the station earlier tomorrow morning or not worry about it?

You’ll be fine - your Eurostar train doesn’t go anywhere near Paris on its way to Lille from the uk. What does the sncf site say about their trains? I’d imagine the only disruption you may possibly face is if those trains normally route through Paris on their way to Lille to then take you on to DLP?

Thanks I think you are right.
There are trains every hour from Lille to DLP so doesn't seem to be a problem. I had a look on the sncf website and they are still selling tickets for that route. It looks like it's only the trains into Paris that are affected and so we will be fine.
