Boxing Day sales?

Hi folks

This will be our first Christmas in Orlando and we were hoping to hit the outlets on Boxing Day, however are Boxing Day sales even a thing over there?

They don't have 'Boxing Day' in the US. Dec 26 is not a public holiday, as in the UK, just an ordinary day.

When we went many years ago they were a huge thing, for obvious reasons though they don't call them 'boxing day' sales so if you search US stores websites for that nothing will come up. Last time the queue to get in the car park at the Florida mall took us almost an hour to go the last mile and a half though this was at midday. And we thought we had seen it all at the Trafford Centre

Not like here as they don’t have Boxing Day; it’s not a holiday & is a normal work day for many Americans.

Their big sales are right now (Black Friday) but we’ve found that in Florida, there seems to be some sort of sale going on almost every week or so.
There are likely to be sales on ‘Boxing Day’ but they probably won’t have started that day; we arrive around 15th-18th December each year & there are already ‘sales’.

The malls are extremely busy for all of December; before Christmas with shopping for gifts & after Christmas, some of that may be people returning or exchanging gifts!
