Hidden lanyard scheme/deaf assistance at Disney
I had posted this below elsewhere but think it will get more traffic here.
Also interested in what help people with hearing difficulties have had at Disney - I read something about help with captions. Anyone any experience. I’ve seen a few posts about this. It’s mostly people I know with children who have autism. I was thinking of getting one for husband who has a multitude of hidden issues - deafness, diabetes, epilepsy and most important mobility issues which means he can’t stand for long periods. Has anyone had any experience. Most people I know have flown from UK to Europe. Will it be recognised in the US? |

Is this the sunflower lanyard?
This is for all hidden disabilities not just autism so your husband could also get this. It's recognised in Orlando and I think most airports worldwide now too. When entering the immigration hall they will take you to a separate desk and get you through quicker. I hope this helps and apologies if I'm completely off the ball here x

My husband is profoundly deaf , and no the lanyard isn’t recognised in Disney not for deafness , there are many ways Disney helps with hearing loss, from closed captioning to sign langauage interpreters (although they sign in asl not bsl) , if you go to guest services The is a booklet you can get for what help is avalible for hearing loss.
We both sign , and use a mixture of this and additional help Jules
