Anyone added Avis preferred after booking ?

Our trip is already booked including some car hire for part of the trip. I didn’t add Avis preferred, can I call BA and add it ?

I’m pretty sure you can, I think I did it this way the first time

Yes, BA added it for me and is now showing on my Avis log in. Good luck getting through to BA though!

We did it the other way and emailed Avis with no problems.

I emailed Avis the first time we did a fly drive with BA, and they added it no problem.

Last time we went I forgot to add it and it was added with a phone call a little later.
Booked flights for our next trip and forgot to add it agin. When I rang a couple of months ago BA said It can no longer be added if it was omitted at the time of booking. From the above replies it looks like I need to make another call!

Leah’s gives me the option of adding my preferred number at that time, it’s also very easy to do over the phone

I called BA Dec 26 asked them to add it guy said no problem but it’s still not appearing on my Avis login do you think I should call back ?

We travelled earlier this year and original booking I didn't add Avis preferred.
I didn't call BA at all, simply downloaded the Avis app (UK) and used the car voucher ref code from the BA booking to add the carhire into the app.
No problems when collecting car - also this was my first time using Avis Preferred, and my name was on the board when arriving so went straight to booth in garage (Miami) rather then having to queue at airport hire desk

Never used before so not sure what to do where to go etc on arrival at Alicante or at our pick up at RPR how do I find out ?
