Mobile Blue badges in Florida?

My parents are coming with us next year and both are blue badge holders in the UK. I don’t think they would do well with the transport especially coming home and potentially not getting a seat etc. How would I arrange a blue badge from here to use over there? I think we would use the car more often than we usually do when on site with them with us!

Thanks!

Email the guy below asking him about the process and he will guide you through it all. He did it for us and our daughter last year.

Thank you, that's really helpful. Ill make a note of the details as we don't go till next year but having not had to think about it before, I wasn't sure on the process!

It's fairly straight forward, complete form and scan and send blue badge and passport of person blue badge is relevant to. You'll get email back with number to call to pay for the placard. Should get placard a week or so later in post

It's a very efficient system

Although here it states they recognise permits from other countries...

It hadn’t crossed my mind that my Dad could use his over there, but would be very useful if he could

I had read that too, but then I also read that in the Disney parks they allow you to just use your UK blue badge, but in some other parks and outside of the parks they are a bit more strict and don't always recognise it! They're not coming with us this year but will be next year so good to have all the knowledge!

So technically they allow the Blue Badge to be used. The issue is that the hologram symbol isn't always visible to people checking the passes on cars and therefore sometimes people get ticketted even with a Blue Badge. For the sake of $17 I've never risked it just in case but its personal preference I guess.

Its such an easy process to obtain a disabled tag out there, only costing $17 and they are soo efficient & helpful! If your driving outside the disney bubble then its probably better to get one
