San Diego.

Is it possible to do 10 nights here (possibly 14) without a car ?

Yes, its possible, depending on what you want to do. A mix of public transport and Uber will get you to most places.

Yes, we did 8 nights without a car and it was so easy to get around. It's a very compact city, public transport is really excellent and because the city is so compact, Uber is very cheap to use. We worked it out that it cost us a lot less to do it this way than it would have done to hire a car and pay for parking costs. Its a gorgeous city with lovely people. Enjoy!

We stayed at the Marriott Marquis near Seaport Village (was recommended by Aims on here). It was a fabulous hotel and we had a room overlooking the bay and Coronado Island. Lots of places to walk to on an evening...Seaport Village (and Cheesecake Factory!) and Gaslamp District. The ferry over to Coronado Island was only a couple of minutes walk away from the hotel also. It was a great location and I can highly recommend the hotel.
