There are some great options on that list!

Yes. It's hard to find the non chains if you don't actively look for them, and I guess most visitors to Orlando (Americans) are there for the parks, food choices less important.

The other thing with the top ten lists is that the same restaurants often tend to pop up on both "best" and "worst" lists

I haven't been to Orlando for well over 10 years now - reading through this post has really given me insight as to which restaurants are held in great esteem.

I have counted through all of the favourites within the post and can report back the following top 10 restaurants based on everyone's feedback (to the date I posted this reply) as the following:

1. Longhorn
2. Bahama breeze
3. Millers Ale House
4. Cheesecake Factory
5. Olive Garden
6. IHOP
7. Denny’s

(the 3 below scored an equal count - so no preferred order)

8. Cracker Barrel
9. Perkins
10. Red Lobster

Hope this is of some help to everyone!

It's really hard as some people's top ten wouldn't be others. Out of the list above I would only eat at 2, 3 at a push. Not into places like Cracker Barrel, Denny's or IHOP

Cracker Barrel and Denny's are fine for breakfast but I agree not my choice for dinner. IHOP put us off after my gluten free DD nearly ended up with pancake batter added to the eggs in her omlet!

I do struggle with these lists sometimes. I think they need categories like "best on a budget". CiCi's, Golden Corral and Sweet Tomatoes don't belong on the same list as places like Seasons 52 or even mid market ones like Longhorn IMO. It must be very confusing for people who haven't been yet and are looking for ideas.
