But even Brexit and the poor exchange rate and everything, to double in price in under two years is an excessive jump, more than these factors and the yearly increase etc.,

It's a combination of lots of things I am sure. Fact is absent anyone on here working in the pricing teams at Disney or Universal, we will never know.

Obviously the exchange rate has hit the pricing, but with Universal it has been sheer greed. Tickets were first £150 for 2016, then £180 for the 2 park 2017 Bonus Ticket, then since they introduced Explorer Tickets it jumped to £210 and now even higher.

I don't think it is sheer greed. U.K visitors get a much better deal compared to the US visitors. Also look at the expansions Universal is doing/done- King Kong, Jimmy Falon, Need for Speed & a full brand new Water Park! This is all in the space of 2 years (2016-2018)

King Kong and Need For Speed are nothing new, pretty much copying what has already been done at Universal Hollywood. And besides that all of these new attractions are screen based, nothing to be excited about.

Brand new water park, fantastic - but my prices are based on the 2-park ticket which doesn't include Volcano Bay and those visiting before it opens will miss out on it.

For Universal's asking price I would expect a hell of a lot more than just a museum of screen based rides. Only a small minority of UK visitors would visit Universal for 14 days so we're pretty much on par with the US as a lot of people will only visit for 2-4 days.

21 day tickets are significantly more expensive than 14 days at the Moment. They have discounted the 14 day tickets by around £100 but haven't discounted the 21 day. It might be worth looking at your plans to see if you can make a 2 week ticket work. Doing universal or Busch before or after.

We definetly won't be going to universal next year if they have another increase! It's too much as it is!

There will be the normal yearly increase no doubt. Depends on demand for vb and the new hotel really as well.

In fact the UK prices we pay for should not be affected by the fall in sterling as they have no dollar value, they are for UK guests only.

P.S Sterling is currently down 18% not 25% (1.5 to 1.25) In fact it is less than that as it was trading at 1.44 to 1.48 prior to Brexit.
I got 1.5 the day before when it briefly hit
