We've changed our first day breakfast adr we had for the 12th, we want the atmosphere of the normal location. Bit of a shame as we wanted to do this on our first morning, staying at the Contemporary for the first time.

We arrive contemporary on 11th too for our first time there 😀

We've booked dinner at chef mickey for 15th so it should be open by then but I'm going to book something else as a back up in case it overruns.

We're only eating there for the location so there's no point if it's not there.

We've eaten there twice before and the food is ok but it's definitely the location that makes it.

Thanks for info, I have gone ahead and changed things round so we can go on July 27th instead now before the move

Hi, is the Ohana buffet as comprehensive as the CM one? thanks

Had an answerphone message from Disney warning me of the change of venue. They said everything will be the same just in a different space. Cast members will be there to direct us. Still not sure what to do. Not sure what other options we have for a special start to the holidays. Has become a tradition to start with Chef Mickey

Ohana isn't a buffet. You get served food family style which means they bring you a big sharing platter and they keep topping it up.

There's far less choice than at Chef Mickey but it's a more relaxed experience as you stay at your table (apart from when Lilo and Stitch do the conga through the restaurant!).

If you want something similar to Chef Mickey, Tusker House is probably your best bet. It's the best character buffet breakfast in my opinion.
