Thanks.

I'd looked at those but I can only assume what is and isn't included. I'd not thought about burning through credits and then paying OOP so that's a good tip. I'd rather do that thinking about it than have a load left over and having to use them on sweets. We'll be doing MNSSP so don't need anymore sweets!

As a rule of thumb all entrees with whatever choice of sides that are stated as being part of the meal, plus a drink are a qs credit. Sides and desserts are a snack credit. At D-luxe burger, you just get the burger and drink, so if you want fries you need to use a snack credit or pay oop. If you're unsure, the CMs at each place will advise you, but you'll get the hang of it really quickly.
When you're there, everything that's eligible as a snack credit will have a little symbol next to it on the menu, so that makes life very easy. It looks like this:

Thank you.

I'd read about the symbol but I'm a glutton for planning so like to know what I'm doing beforehand rather than getting to the front of the queue looking confused

Is Blaze less than the normal credits? There are no sides etc so you'd only be getting a pizza and a drink or is it the same as the pizza is (hopefully ) massive?

There are no meals that are 'less than or more than' a qs credit. A credit is a credit and there's no set value to it. It varies depending on the restaurant, so in some places you can get large combo platters, and others you just get a burger or pizza. Having said that, the pizzas at Blaze are delicious and well worth the credit. They're not massive, but they're a good size and we find 2 between 3 is plenty for us, plus leaves space for an ice cream from Ghirardelli (using a snack credit). They also have takeaway boxes available so you can take any leftovers with you.

AllEars menus show the snack credit symbols, but there's nothing for a qs meal as 99.9% of entrées are included. allears/dining/menu

I came across my first exclusion in 5 years last year which was the double bacon cheeseburger at Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom. The CM kindly put it though for me, but if he hadn't I'd have just changed the order to the single bacon cheeseburger

How can you tell from the menu what is a snack credit please? Some of the sundaes are $12/13+ which seems a lot for a snack credit.

Thanks

You need to ask them when you're there and they have a list with snack credit items that you can choose from. As far as I'm aware, the sundaes aren't included, but single scoop cones definitely are and they were very generous last year

Edit: just found a link to someone who posted a picture of the list last July: https://DIBB.in/12669247

At D-Luxe Burger, are the shakes included as the drink in a QS meal? Thanks.

Sorry, I'm not sure. They weren't last year, but the drinks part of the dining plan has changed for 2018. It says that milkshakes are now included, but third party restaurants can put their own limitations on the dining plan, so they might still not allow them. Until we hear from people who've been and tried, we won't know for sure.

I hope they will be, we had wondered as the new dining plan says that milkshakes are included. I hadn't considered that individual restaurants would exclude milkshakes. Hopefully someone can let us know soon.

Don't forget Wolfgang Puck Express at DS either, amazing use of a QS credit. Haven't tried the breakfast but visited for dinner 3 times last year!
