My phone cut off after 2 hours just as it said I was 9th in the queue... but this was 9.40 so i expect they were off home. Have left a message for a callback and hopefully they'll reply to my latest emails but don't think I stand much chance.

Personally, I'd hang up after about 10-15 minutes. If they haven't answered in that time then it's clear they are incredibly busy (or no one is there!) and I'd try again at another time. I wouldn't stay on the line for 1.5 hours!

ATD's 'Contact Us' webpage...

attraction-tickets-direct/contact-us

...says that you can send them an email. Perhaps you could try that (the email address is on the above page)? It also provides an alternative phone number for existing bookings, if that applies?

And, of course, you can always place an order online using their website.

This no doubt is exactly why it is! I haven’t ever had to wait on hold for anyone to answer there. Was going to call them about Universal Studios Hollywood tickets today but have decided to wait a couple of days given the whole DC debacle.

Well OP was trying to get the deal that presumably hundreds of other people were trying to get.

It was a phone only deal on a Bank Holiday Monday.

Not surprising the queues were big.

Just off the phone from ATD who told me that nobody here could have been told what position they are in the queue because they don't supply that info.

I don't really believe that posters here would make it up, he must has been misinformed in some way because quite a few posters here knew exactly what position they were in.

Can anybody confirm?

Ah, ok.

Is it ATD's fault that there were so many people interested in a special phone-only Bank Holiday deal they were running?

It's a bit like saying it's Disney's fault that their parks are so crowded with people.

i'm quite happy to confirm, that both times i was in the phone queue yesterday to ATD, that as soon as I got to position number 9 in the queue, I was informed of that position, and regularly updated throughout the rest of my time on hold. ie "you are position 9 in the queue" "you are position 5 in the queue" "you are position 1 in the queue".

I was told I was the first in the queue for over an hour before I gave up. I tried calling on another line at the same time and got a completely different recorded hold message which didn't mention any position in a queue. They're a bit like Thomas Cook- rather uncoordinated.

@sammykitten - well, guy I spoke to today says you're lying, that's it's just not possible. They don't have that on their system.

Won't quote his name (yet! ) but you'd have to laugh.
