For several years we have happily flown into Tampa and it has always been several hundred cheaper than MCO and we much prefer airport and customs and easy drive to Orlando.

Randomly and I cannot understand why, it is £500+ dearer for our family of four to go into Tampa in May this time. First time ever this has been more expensive for us. Cannot work it out.

So we are flying into MCO for first time in years and whereas this is so easy and know Tampa airport so well, I can’t remember Orlando at all! So now worried about hours queuing for immigration with kids and route from airport etc, stuff I don’t normally give a second thought.

Know it will be fine, it’s just odd for me lol. I still can’t figure out why on Earth it would be more expensive this year.

We wanted to fly into Tampa but at the time we booked it was a lot cheaper to fly into Orlando. So we are doing a cheap overnight and are then driving down to Rotunda West the next day.

Thanks for the information. It seems to be easier than I thought. I've never considered Tampa before as I assumed it was further away. could be an option in future if the price was right
