Bit excited tonight! Last night I was having a little mooch on Avios, as I do most evenings, waiting for my converted Tesco vouchers to hit my avios account and I did a search on Hilton Gatwick again, as I do most evenings, whilst waiting for the points (i'm a creature of habit what can I say) anyway last month when I discovered the benefits of avios i had done the hilton search and seen that I needed 22000 avios points for one nights accomodation but last night what did I see? a "price" drop all I needed for the same one nights accomodation was now only 15700 points ooooh weeee that would leave points over to spend on other things! Problem was I still hadnt been credited with the bonus points for exchanging tesco vouchers. For those not in the know at the moment Tesco have an offer on that for every £2.50 you exchange you get 600 avios plus if you exchange before 31st march you also get an extra 400 points for every £2.50 which is a great deal. The first lot of 600 points get credited really quickly but then you have to wait upto 28 days for the bonus, well with such a price drop for the hilton I had to get more points so a quick exchange of some more tesco vouchers (I love those things!) and today my points hit the account. A quick and very pleasent phone call to avios and our preflight night hotel is B O O K E D! Woohoo... free, zero, nothing, nil pounds spent love it!

Now I have many extra points left and if anyone has seen the many thread about tesco and avios you will also know by now that even though it doesnt tell you this on the avios website but they also do tickets and excursions via attractionworld so if you want disney or universal tickets or even discovery cove tickets in a round about way you can use your tesco vouchers to get them! Anyway a quick calculation (for every 5000 avios gets £25 at attraction world) now shows that I have another 15000 avios points to spend, I know, I know, I could save them but thats not my style and after a whole afternoon last week during the plague (chickenpox) when I looked at and researched every orlando attractionworld trip I have decided to have either a shopping excursion take in four shopping places including LBV outlets and florida mall or arabian nights. Actually who am I trying to kid? we will be going shopping... obviously! DD can be persuaded in to many things if there is a disney store and the promise of doing her first build a bear The shopping trip includes breakfast and lunch and the transport and once again will cost nothing (well except some spends!) So look at me doing a happy dance!
