I watched it last night and enjoyed it, but then I’ve never read the book or seen the original, so nothing to compare to

I quite liked it for a couple of hours mindless viewing. Mrs danvers doesn't have quite as much of the sinister side eye going on though makes it feel a bit less chilling.

We were the same - I think as a “stand alone” film with nothing to compare it to it was quite good.

I watched it last night and enjoyed it - three it didnt have the suspense of the Hitchcock one but this version was truer to the book without the Hitchcock add ins and of course it had the ending in the book rather than hat had been seen before (that threw me)

I loved it, even watched it twice... although I’m a fan of Lilly... I think it was well acted and could even watch it again.
