Try the doubletree suites at Disney springs or the Wyndham bonnet creek.
The Disney springs hotels have their own buses which take you to the parks. Also you can walk to DIsney Springs. |

We have stayed at Bonnet Creek resort a couple of times. We purchase via someone who rents out stays there (all legit and contracted) and the cost of a two bedroom deluxe apartment is around the same as a value room.
As well as two bedrooms and bathrooms there is a lounge and full kitchen so loads of space. It is next door to CBR so although not a Disney hotel, it is inside WDW and they have their own transport (or you could Uber if not wanting to drive).

Last year (April 2019) we paid about 305 pounds per night in total for th campground (cheapest option) an RV and a golf cart for 4 nights. Not cheap but we had a lovely time.

Rent a 1 bed at SSR or OKW (or Boardwalk standard view) on DVC points. Now 5 sleep surfaces. That is the cheapest way likely nowadays with no free dining. And preferable to cramming in an RV. Full kitchen also- order some take outs, have lunch in rooms sometimes, breakfast in room. Becomes very affordable.

Button, just as an example, we are travelling as a party of five next year (I hope) and need a two bedroom unit as we are:
Me and DH (and we are paying for accommodation so I call the shots) Eldest daughter and boyfriend Youngest daughter There is no way on earth I’m putting all of us in one room which pretty much rules out onsite for us. I have some DVC points but they won’t stretch very far! We are considering a two bed / two bath unit at Staybridge Suites very close indeed to Disney. Ten minutes in an Uber I think. Under £80 per night and with a full kitchen, breakfast and the odd meal is easy. Great range of places to eat nearby with prices a fraction of Disney. While we will have a car we will also uber a bit depending on if we both want to have a drink. I’m just sharing this as an example of how you could have a different holiday, probably save a lot of money, and perhaps even enjoy some elements more? |

We booked a 41ft RV for this September from Florida Camper Rentals. Unfortunately it had to be cancelled so we are rebooking for next year if things improve. Some sleep up to 14. Florida Camper Rentals were really helpful and booked the Disney site for us as well. Easily sleeps 2 families and the campground is great fun. Prices for the campground vary but for September for a large premium site (takes the RVs with extra length and width) the cost was $618 from Disney for the campsite plus the cost of the RV which was $1377 for 5 nights. Smaller rvs and sites work out cheaper.Came with outside table and chairs, external tv, fridge, tv and bbq. It does work out cheaper the longer you stay as included in the cost is setting it up and taking it away again. We wanted something different to add on to our dvc stay and we need a minimum of a 2 bed so this was a reasonable alternative for a group with varying ages. Deposit only required until 2 weeks before travel.
