Looking at CBR- there is an option for a pull down bed- says suitable for a 3-9 year old, is that the extra bed? Is so, will it be suitable for a tall 11 year old do you think?

Yes, that's the extra bed. How tall is your 11 year old? The bed measures 35" wide by 65" long, so it's only about 5ft 5 inches long.

Our daughter is 5'6" and sleeps in it. It's too short if she lays flat out, as I'm pretty sure that measurement is for the wooden base, and the mattress is a bit shorter. However, she sleeps curled up, so is quite happy on it. Beats sharing with her brother!

My daughter is very slim and average height and at 11 hated the pull out bed and found it too small to be comfortable. I personally wouldnt be putting anyone normal size over the age of 9 on it.
