The new bridge opened today. Looks like the restaurant is close to opening too.

Great! Should be open by the time we get there (hopefully!)

The new bridge looks great and a much shorter walk. Passport to the park mentioned before has done a video already.

Making this simple:

Pros:
Rooms are fantastic - the best moderate rooms from what I've seen so far.
Resort is beautiful, especially with the lake.
Bus service was really reliable last time I visited, plus there are 4 stops so not like you are in one massive line at the stop or having to walk for ages to get to it.
Pool is great, lots of space, lots of sunbeds.
New lake bar will be a fantastic addition and the bridges will cut down walking distances.
Relatively close to all parks. Bus journeys only ever took 12-15 mins tops for Magic Kingdom and we're 5-6 minutes for everywhere else.
Theme/feel is fantastic, and not as in your face Disney like a Pop or a AoA for example. I find it a little more adult.

Cons:
Resort is HUGE - If you're towards the back it's easily a good 10 minute walk/half a mile to the front. Should be made easier with the bridges however.
All the dining is at the front of the resort (other than the pool bar which is central but doesn't have a great selection). But means if you want to fill your resort mug at 9pm at night it could be a bit of a walk to the front...
Coranado has a huge convention centre. Although it didn't effect us too much last time I have heard stories of the food court being busy at time.

Things to consider:

With the new tower building, the increase in rooms will no doubt have an impact on the amenities. No-one knows how yet with the Tower not opening until July but it will be interesting.

Overall - We had a fantastic time, and after careful consideration of whether to book CBR or pay slightly more at POFW, we decided that we really enjoyed Coronado and would definitely recommend it.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other q's or want me to expand!

Apologies as took a little while to respond! Busy few days!

We stopped in Ranchos, it was lovely and quiet. Can't remember our exact room but we're on the second floor of 3. One pro tip - if accessibility isn't an issue I'd request a top floor room. We had a family above us, and let's just say the kids we're having a very good time (Fair play they're on a once in a lifetime trip too), but a tiny bit of thudding some nights - nothing to spoil out trip of course!

Ranchos are a good walk to the front of the resort which is the only downside. I'm intrigued to see how the tower/bridges effect the dynamic of the resort. I'd happily stop in Cabanas or Casitas just to try something new, but equally would be more than happy with Ranchos (we we're in 7A last time)

We've just come back after staying here for 2 weeks with the dining plan. The hotel is lovely and although the resort is large it is a great walk around the lake. The room was very nice and overlooked the smaller of the 2 pools.
The only issues we had were the volume of cheerleaders and their families, it made the eating areas stupidly busy and they insisted on practicing their lifts and cheers in the small pool until gone midnight!
We also found the quick service food wasn't great, not much choice and it was always cold. This wasn't a huge issue though as we just ate at another hotel, when visiting, or at the parks.
I would stay again and we also stayed in casitas.

We only found it busy once (got back on 10th May) and complained and got $100 card.

Food wise I found it OK. The pizza was good, kids enjoyed pasta, burgers and philly cheesesteak were very good I thought.

We've just booked CSR for next May. Last time we stayed there was 18 years ago! This time we are taking kids for first family Disney trip.

You got $100 because it was busy?

Isn’t WDW always busy these days?

You complained because the food court was busy?

I wouldn't even know who to complain to about a thing like that.
