Mobile Villa concern

Hi we have booked a 4 night break in a villa we saw on a booking site, booking form and balance paid 11 days ago, no terms/conditions sent but our worry is that the dates are not showing as booked on the calendar on booking site

Contacted owner yesterday and stated they were busy with work but dates still not showing as booked

Normally wouldn't concern me too much but had awful time with the villa we booked in august, arrived to find it overbooked which ruined our family holiday

Am I right to be concerned? Or just me feeling a bit stressed with what happened last time

I think with only a week to go the owner is rude to tell you they’re busy with work! We’re all busy with work, life and everything else! Have you had the directions and door codes etc? Booking that close to arrival I would have sent them immediately on payment. I’d be stressed too.

Depending on what sites they advertise on really, some sites have instant booking facilities where they don't have to ask the owner if they will accept the booking, the dates are booked automatically when the guest pays

Hi yeah I have directions and codes, that was emailed couple days after form/payment received, just the issue of the dates still showing as available on calendar, it's on vr360

If you’ve got the door codes etc I’m sure everything is fine. Still think the owner is rude, I would never tell a guest I was too busy!

I second Pussycat Doll.

I would never say I was too busy.

It would take about 2 minutes to update a few days on a calendar. Seems odd.

Had a very similar problem last year with a property I had booked (also on vr360) in that I could not find our dates showing as booked on that site, or on the owners own site. I contacted the owner who confirmed the booking and advised that they were having problems getting their availability calendar to work properly. Perhaps there is a problem with that specific site. As others have said, if you have the door codes and villa address, there shouldn't be a problem. Bit rude though
