Virtual Baby Shower
My younger sister is due to give birth in November, so six of us are having a baby shower this weekend. We are thinking of doing afternoon tea and presents, then eight friends are 'joining' virtually, probably by a Zoom call. My question is, has anyone been to a virtual baby shower, or any suggestions as to what we can do once they join?
Suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you |

A quiz?
You could do guess the baby photos virtually if they emailed you one

I organised a virtual baby shower for a friend a few months ago and did a few quizzes. One was for the participants and one for the mum to be.
For the participants, I split them into groups and put them in Zoom break out rooms and they had to answer the same set of questions about the mum to be. This can be anything eg what is mum to be's favourite colour, favourite movie, how did mummy meet daddy, what has been mum's biggest craving during pregnancy etc and then at the end of the timeframe (think it was like 7 mins or something) bring everyone back into the main zoom room. I as the host went through each question and asked the mum to be what the answer was and gave a point to whichever team got it right. The second quiz was baby pictures - I asked all the participants to email me a baby picture (or a pic of them as a young child) ahead of time and made a quick powerpoint and then went through them one at a time and asked mum to be who she thought each person was. We also all did gifts (people sent gifts to her home and she opened during the zoom call) and we all had food & drink during. It was actually really good fun and, although of course not the same as all being together, we still managed to get that fun & celebration feeling
