We've done Wonderworks before, kids enjoyed it for a half day, it's a bit different.

We've done Wonderworks and the Pirate Dinner Show (both in 2010). Wonderworks is good and the Pirate Dinner Show looks great but was a bit of let down (both food and them "forgetting" we had bought VIP tickets). We've also done Ripley's Believe It or Not and Medieval Times Dinner Show (in 2014). A similar theme there unfortunately, Ripley's was good but the staff at Medieval Times assigned to our area spent most of the time with an American family who were very demanding so we missed out on elements.
We did Capone's Dinner & Show earlier this week and loved it. The show isn't complicated and there is audience participation (including the kids). The humour is on the right level (some jokes for Mums and Dads and others for kids) and the food is pretty good for a buffet. We also loved The Escape Game (theescapegame/orlando/) on International Drive just south of W Sand Lake Rd (loads of free parking behind the shops there). So much so, that we went back for another game yesterday when the temperature dropped to below 15C! Hope that helps.

We (and kids) have enjoyed Ripley's and Wonderworks - a bit different from the parks, and can do both in 1 day.

Been to Gatorland every visit. Did the screaming gator zip line (with a groupon coupon) and got caught in a torrential downpour for the last zip! Hilarious!

There is so much to do in Orlando outside the main parks - less expensive, less busy, less frustration etc. This includes Gatorland, airboats with the likes of Wild Florida, all the I-Drive smaller attractions like WonderWorks, Ripley's, Titanic the Artifact Exhibition, Pirate's Cove minigolf, Fun spot, iFly indoor skydiving etc. Definitely consider a day or two or three exploring Orlando beyond the parks. An evening at quaint Old Town is great too.

I liked the tranquility of Gatorland but I wouldn’t go again, I didn’t like the shows and thought they were unfair to the alligators. We got discounted tickets from Attraction Tickets and it included some alligator food (hot dogs).
We’ve bought discounted tickets to Wonderworks from Groupon for our next trip. |
