Update - Car hire booked

I bit the bullet and booked car hire, 2 days for £125! Eek. That does include a sat nav & the complete insurance though as in the snow I want to make sure we are covered for any possible bumps.

I booked with Alamo via Rental cars with cashback

Scrap than! Rentalcars.com are absolutely useless! They called me to say the Alamo pick up point is closed (even though I have spoken to Alamo & confirmed its open) and then tried to move be to a Hertz booking at a much higher cost! I have cancelled the booking and am back to square one with no car

Ooh great to hear the zoo is good, not may people seem to visit. Glad the Niagara drive is easy too! Im just hoping we don't have to dig the car out of snow

Did you have any nice meals anywhere?

Looks like a fab trip you have planned! Excited to read about it all as I've always fancied Canada. Apparently Tim Hortons does good coffee/donuts!

Have you tried ebookers for a car. I hired in Toronto in July with Budget through ebookers and got a good price. Hope you make it to Niagara & Niagara on the Lake. They are both places I want to go to again.
