Flights for Easter - prices?
Hi all,
I'm looking to book flights for Easter 2017. Virgin and BA are ridiculous money, something like £1500 each for economy. Norwegian is about £1000. Are these prices likely to get a bit cheaper at any point or should I just get the best deal possible today given it's going to be school holidays and I might just have to suck it up? Thanks |

Flight prices are expensive for Easter. You can get it cheaper if you fly indirect or a few days either side of the holidays (we're flying out on 29th March, 3 days before our Easter holidays start, direct with Virgin on the way out and indirect with Delta on the way back and it's costing us £418pp, although that's now gone up to £710pp ).
If you're willing to wait and book late, then Thomson have had great last minute prices for the past few years of around £300pp, sometimes less. Have you looked at Thomas Cook flights too? What dates are you looking for as Dibbers are good at looking for and finding prices

Thanks! I'd happily take a punt and wait for a late price like that but my family may think differently So far I have checked the directs for BA, Virgin, Norwegian and Thomson. I will have a look at Thomas Cook.
I did see a good deal today for an indirect with 1 stop, total flight time 12hrs 45mins. That's an option and the main reason I was asking if anyone thought the directs would get any cheaper as I am just tempted to book it. Planning on flying out on Saturday 1st April and returning on Saturday 15th. We could be flexible to the Friday or the Sunday at either end if needed. |

That's a great price! Makes such a difference flying that little bit earlier.

The rule on the Dibb is generally that if you see a flight price that you're happy with, then book it. They change all the time so it's easy to miss out, but then don't keep looking as you'll be upset if you find it cheaper!

We booked indirect for Easter and paid £781.. Virgin £1400.
Man-phily-mco nearly 2 hours stop over on way out and just under 1 hour on way back.. We had never done a stop over before but the price difference made it an easy choice! If the saving was that good again I would happily re book AA |
