Sangria and a tray of crisps. Benalmadena. Nov 21. Day one. Benalmadena port.
Friday 26th November
Index A nice lazy start to the morning, woke at 8ish to a glorious sunrise. We got ready, I showered so it was about 9 when we left for breakfast. Spanish breakfast is always fried eggs for me. Followed by sweet goodies and a hot chocolate. We saw Tracy, Paul and Russell and arranged a trip to the port a little later. It’s about a 10 minute walk and so pretty. The shops had Black Friday deals on so we also looked in them. Tracy saw some Guess boots with 20% off. We stopped at a bar for refreshments. Two cocktails, 5 large beers, I small beer, a coffee and a jug of sangria cost €45. I love the little snacks they bring out as well. Time was actually getting on now so we wandered back. Tracy stopped and brought her boots, Matt and I carried on as wasnt really bothered about shopping. Had a little snack at the hotel, hot food is served from 3pm on the snack room. You need your key to get in. The others came back, Linda had also brought boots. Now, we saw a man there, he was by himself but spoke to everyone. He was always out in the sun with a Bloody Mary. We nicknamed him purple legs as he was very tanned. We stayed out until the sun started going down which was about 4pm. We found if we went onto the stage we caught the very last rays. After not changing last night, I wanted to dress up tonight. I brought a top 2 years ago from a friends online boutique with the plan of wearing it on my first girls holiday since I left my job as a cook manager. We all know how that turned out. It’s been hanging up since then, Matt joked and asked if I would ever wear it. Tonight it had its first outing. The back ties up, it really is so pretty and original. Matt brought me my Dr Martens sandals and gave them as an early Xmas present. Dinner was about 8.30. The night was more drinking at the hotel until midnight.

Such a lovely day, the weather looks so good for the time of year. Food looks delicious too. Your top is gorgeous, such a shame you’ve had to wait so long before you managed to wear it.
I’ve got a couple of outfits I bought for holidays for summer 2020 that I’ve not managed to wear yet too, 🤞 they fit when I do finally go on holiday |
