Sold house prices on Rightmove

Does anyone know why some properties sale prices don’t appear on Rightmove?

Can you opt for it not to be public when you sell a house?

Could it be because they haven’t sold recently or so recently the price hasn’t been updated?

The sold price comes from public records so I don’t think you’d be able to opt to have it not there, they are also listed on Zoopla

Yes, you can request of companies like rightmove and zoopla that they remove your sales info from their website - I have done it. But as above, it is a matter of public record so it can be found out other ways if someone really wants to!

Or , I understand, if it is it bought by a company it is not listed - only when purchased by private individuals.

My house doesn’t have a sold price. I can’t recall asking it not to be listed.

I don't understand how it works, my house on Zoopla has 2003 as the last time it was sold. I bought it quite a while after that

When I buy and sell I keep all deals private so zoopla, rightmove etc wont have access to the details

Thanks folk, some interesting replies, so you or your solicitor who acts for you can request it not to appear?

I’m just being nosey really it’s nothing terribly important, but I wonder why you’d ask for it to be kept private?

For me I'm just security conscious - my house is quite unique looking, and the site was showing a floor plan and loads of photos showing doors etc. I just think it's a housebreaker's paradise!

Absolutely, I’ve never thought about it in that way, but you’re right x
