So lovely to see such positive messages about taking little ones. We’re hopefully taking our 6 month old in November and again next February when he’s 11 months!
Fingers crossed our trips go ahead as planned! |

Hope you don’t mind if I ask a couple of questions.. Did you take your own pram with you? Did you take a travel cot with you? / How did you go about sleep arrangements? We are DVC members so I don’t think they provide the pack and play like they do with the regular hotel bookings. |

Hi there, we rented a stroller from Kingdom Strollers once lad was older and took a fold up on the first visit. We are also DVC members and there was a put up cot in our One Bedroom villa, so just set up in master by the bed.
Also high chair in the room Edited at 06:58 PM. |

No worries. Feel free to also message me direct if any questions.
We took our own pram... DS loves the city mini GT and easily fell asleep in it. Had it in the carry bag... dropped it at the gate and didn’t get it back out again til POFQ. Used DME and a sling through MCO. He slept in one of the beds... we just got 2 bed side guards from mouse keeping. Pushed the bed up against the wall then used one for the side and one for the bottom. Worked perfectly... Maybe easier in the Moderate or value... how easy do the beds move in the DVC resorts?

My DS (who is now 17 yrs) was 13 mths his first trip and it was great. We stayed offsite so we had kitchen facilities which meant easy to make breakfast etc when he woke up early.
Took our own Mclaren stroller - he basically lived in that . We even managed a day trip to Sarasota without problems. Only thing we didnt do was going out for lots of evening meals - the occasional lunch out (otherwise packed lunches). But then we didn’t use to do that back home either when he was that age as we tried to stick to a good sleep routine (which we managed to keep during the holiday)

Getting Excited

We are hopefully taking our daughter in November when she will be 16 months. She won’t remember it, but we will always remember seeing her experience the magic for the first time! Reading trip reports with toddlers is helping us with tips.

We had a lot of people saying DS won’t remember it but we were exactly the same... we will remember it, seeing his face, seeing his reaction when he sees the characters, going on his first rides etc... he loved it.
We were questioned when we also took him to NYC 7 months later at 29 months. He is now almost 4 years old and still talks about seeing the Statue of Liberty and daddy ice skating at the Rockefeller Center. Such a magical age (in between the tantrums).
