Help with changing BA booking please!

We have a fly drive booking with BA for 20 nights LHR-MCO and TPA-LGW but now DS has been refused that much holiday (after originally having it ok’d!) we only need to cut it by 3 days so are thinking of just moving the outward bound flight, either for all 5 of us or just Ds and Dh. Has anyone done this before? Just thinking it’d possibly be cheaper as to cancel and rebook is coming up £1800 more that we paid back in October!

Advice please! 😩

At the moment you can change free of charge, so I would ring them

If he had the agreement for leave previously can he not challenge it? Employers can cancel but don't generally if things have been booked

Thanks 😊 Just not sure if you can change only part of the booking. I will call them just wondering if anyone’s done this before.

Since it was agreed he’s been given a new contract so terms have changed. He’s ok about having a few days less but we just want to be as little out of pocket as possible!

As you might have two options to chose from if you change all the family or just your DS and DH it may be better to speak to BA or try their Online chat/Twitter. Hope it works out for you and can get sorted.

Thanks I’ve tried on Twitter but they’re no help, after several exchanges they said someone will call me or email in the next couple of days. I guess I’ll call them myself lol

The phone lines are solidly engaged, Twitter no help and website chat just say no one available. Has anyone managed to get through to anyone at BA lately or is this just how it is!

One of their call centres in India is closed because of the pandemic and the other centres including Newcastle, Manchester (who are mainly WFH) and S. Africa are taking the overflow so they are very busy at the moment. I know it isn't much consolation but keep on trying - I've just got through to discuss my flight in June in about 10 minutes.

Can he take a few days unpaid leave? Might be less than the change?
